From an asset to a world layout

Making my games involves many recurring tasks: importing files, checking settings, finding variants and arranging objects. RIFFSOURCE World Studio brings these tasks into one workshop.

The workflow starts with existing local files. Sprites, models and prefabs share an organizational framework before they are used in 2D, isometric 2.5D or 3D world layouts.

A library that grows with the project

List and tile views, tags, search and native thumbnails help with selection. Import rules make classification traceable. Shared metadata can be edited in batches, while manually protected assignments and saved collections preserve the organization you chose.

Work directly on the world layout

Placement, painting, selection, movement, rotation and scaling are part of the spatial workflow. Groups, assemblies and reusable sections help build larger layouts. Context tools and numeric input complement direct editing.

Snapshots, undo and redo, and deliberate saving accompany changes. Prefab, Tilemap and portable-kit output paths connect the layout to its target project.

A clearer starting point

The 0.10 series adds a home screen with world management, coherent navigation and inline action search. World and save actions sit together; settings and update checks are consolidated. Local text catalogs are bundled for German, English, French and Spanish.

Work locally and extend deliberately

The foundation uses local assets and data. Optional modules bring local exports from sources such as PixelLab or Tripo into the same import workflow. Provider access is started deliberately; organizing existing assets stays local.

Beta 0.10.1

The current build is presented as a beta. Controls, installation workflows and checks in real Unity projects are the present focus. The package has been submitted for Unity Asset Store review. Store approval is still pending.

The patch notes record the changes since 0.5. The development journal follows the larger steps and the decisions behind them.
