Video protection needs a careful fallback
On YouTube, removing a notice is only part of the work. The actual content needs to remain accessible without the helper creating another problem.
A blocker works inside pages that keep changing. Video makes that especially visible: an empty area, a late notice or a player restart can be more disruptive than the original interface.
More precise intervention
The current development version targets recognised YouTube advertising more carefully. An empty player advertising container is no longer hidden indiscriminately. A known dismissible YouTube notice is handled only under matching conditions. Sign-in requirements, unplayable responses and unrelated dialogs are not rewritten into supposedly working playback.
The fallback matters to me: pauses, website exceptions and a limited local fallback must not be overwritten by delayed responses.
A sample is not a guarantee
Recorded Safari samples continued playing through subsequent video changes. That is useful evidence, but it is not a promise for every video or account. Remaining buffering time does not disappear when a notice is removed.
For the next update, I want to keep assessing starts, video changes and unwanted intervention separately. The goal is a usable page, beyond making a dialog disappear.
