A lantern fox for the Pixel Studio beta

I made a lantern fox for the new product page. The little sprite shows how a request becomes a PNG you can bring into a game.

The example starts in a separate project called Lantern Keeper. I wanted the fox to have a clear silhouette, a small lantern and a transparent background. I generated the sprite with Pixen, kept the result in the project and checked its dimensions and transparency in the preview. The export was a PNG at its original size.

With small sprites, some problems only become apparent when you look closely. A light edge that seems fine in a zoomed preview can stand out against a dark game background. I wanted the product page to show the whole process, from making the request through checking the result to exporting it. The captures come from the Mac app. The finished file sits alongside them so you can compare it with the preview.

Pixel Studio 0.8.0 is available as a manual download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Windows x64 has an unsigned preview. Installation and use on Windows still need to be verified. The existing patch notes bring together the changes to export presets, local drafts and the preview.
