From the first reference to an exportable asset, with a local project that keeps the work together.
RIFF Pixel Studio connects the official PixelLab API to a local desktop workspace. Images, characters, animation, worlds and tiles, editing, refinement, UI and fonts have dedicated areas. References, drafts and results stay connected to a project.
Results can become references for the next step. A local mask editor prepares inpainting. Original files, project ZIPs, spritesheets and GIFs are export options, depending on the result.
The RIFFSOURCE app is free. Generation requires your own PixelLab account and API key; PixelLab may charge according to its own plan. The key is held in the operating system’s secure credential store.
The project is developed with feedback and discussion with the PixelLab maker. It remains an independent RIFFSOURCE app rather than an official PixelLab product; this does not claim a formal partnership.
The 0.1.0 test candidate has completed an actual generation, original export and project round trip on an Apple Silicon Mac. A universal Mac package and Windows installer have been built. Windows runtime, a separate Intel Mac and further models still need testing. Public distribution signatures and broad delivery remain pending.
