Frequently asked questions
Concise answers about the current product direction. Planned features are marked explicitly.
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone. In Good Order is designed to keep product records, receipts, photos and documents in local app storage. No RIFFSOURCE account is required for the local product experience.
Does In Good Order upload my documents?
No automatic upload is planned. Documents and images remain on your device unless you deliberately export or share them, or enable a clearly described optional service in a future release.
Can I delete imported documents?
Yes. Individual attachments and product records can be removed through the app. A full local data deletion option is planned as part of the product controls.
Why does the app need camera or photo access?
Camera access is used only when you choose to photograph a product, receipt, type label or document. Photo library access is used only to import images you explicitly select.
Is iCloud sync already available?
Not yet. Optional encrypted iCloud sync is planned for a future release. It will be disabled by default until you opt in, and will be documented before activation.
Can I recover deleted products?
Deleted local records are not designed to be recoverable inside the app. Content previously exported or included in a device backup may still exist outside the app.
Which file types are supported?
Common image and document formats selected or imported by you are supported, including photos, PDFs and scans captured through the system document scanner. Support may expand before release.
Can I correct recognised information?
Yes. Text and product details detected on-device are intended to remain editable. Some imported documents may still require manual correction, especially when image quality is low.
