Patch Notes
Versions and changes for RIFFSOURCE Assembly Studio.
0.4 · Development milestone · Engineering and productionThe second milestone adds technical explanation and output workflows to the existing local editor. 0.4 names this development milestone; package version 0.2.0 and the unpublished distribution status remain unchanged. CAD adapters are prepared, with real FreeCAD/Fusion host acceptance still pending.Added9Improved2Show all changesHide changes
Added
- Per-step sections with direction, offset, inversion, optional part selection and caps, preserving original geometry.
- Model-linked distance, angle, radius and diameter dimensions with editable labels. Values follow tessellation and do not replace exact CAD measurement.
- Technical SVG illustrations with actual vector lines, dimensions, text and section hatching.
- Part and camera keyframes with timing controls and a preview that does not save authoring changes.
- Free print layouts with custom pages, text, images, vector views, bills of materials and forms; PDF output reports text overflow before replacing a destination.
- Independent manufacturing and service bills of materials with hierarchy, decimal quantities, units and bilingual text.
- Offline feedback forms with required fields and a validated return file; no automatic sending or central online service.
- Geometric plausibility checks for collisions and minimum clearance, within bounded analysis of the available model geometry.
- Local CAD handoff with a documented exchange format and prepared FreeCAD/Fusion adapters. New snapshots are validated and explicitly accepted.
Improved
- Edits continue to use Undo/Redo, autosave, versions and release snapshots.
- The additions were checked in native Mac workflows and Chromium. Full VoiceOver, another-Mac and current cross-browser acceptance remain pending; two known Mac cloud-transport tests are unresolved.
