An autopilot needs understandable limits

Why visible decisions and a clear pause matter more to me than grand promises.

A retrospective on 12 October 2026. Written and published on 14 October 2026 using the project history.

OpenFront Autopilot interests me as a software project: how can a running game state lead to a useful next decision? Expansion, defence and economy often pull in different directions.

My approach brings those decisions into one planning process. A compact display should show what is happening and what comes next. Pause needs to remain within reach.

Local checks cover individual rules and situations. Real matches with opponents acting at the same time are a different matter. I am not promising that the autopilot wins every game.

The software exists as a userscript. Public GitHub availability is still pending. I will add a link when the repository is actually accessible.
